Souls To The Polls Brings Voters In On Sunday
" Wearing their Sunday best they showed up to vote on Sunday. It’s a first for Georgia. Many came by car, with their horns blaring, to the Adamsville Recreation Center in Southwest Atlanta. They were encouraged by bullhorn-wielding, First Iconium Baptist Church Pastor Rev. Timothy McDonald. He said that he was on “a cloud” because of “Souls to the Polls”. Ministers banded together to encourage their parishioners to head to the polls after church and cast their ballot for the November election. According to McDonald, at the early-morning service on Sunday there were about 100 church goers ready to head to the polls. At the second service Rev. McDonald said there were an additional 150 members ready to participate, “We have 75 cars of folks who came to Adamsville to make their vote count” "
