Tyler Perry To The Rescue …Again
" Decatur, Ga (WAOK)- 24 year old Alicia Day knows what it is like to have a guardian angel in her life. Alicia was the subject of a local television report on Monday. Unfortunately it was the kind of report we read and hear about too often. Alicia has cerebral palsy. On Sunday, someone stole her specially equipped van  that she needs for transportation to work at Home Depot and everywhere else from the driveway of her home.

Not long after the report aired, actor, producer and philanthropist Tyler Perry called the station to find out how he could reach Alicia and her family.

Perry arranged for Day and her family to replace their 12 year old van with a brand new one equipped with special modifications so Alicia can get back to life.

“God is good, and Tyler Perry is just wonderful,” Day told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Tuesday. “This made me feel so wonderful,” she said. “Tyler Perry, of all people, decided to help a handicapped person.”

According to the AJC, Perry drove to R & R Mobility Van & Lifts Inc. in Conyers, where the Days had bought the stolen van 12 years ago. The dealership was closed, but Perry convinced the manager to open back up.  The van cost nearly $60,000. "
