Best Bets For Kosher Food In Atlanta
Before there were pescatarians, vegetarians or vegans, there were the kashrut or kosher dietary standards. Kosher regulations, though complex, revolve around the cleanest and most humane way of killing animals as well as the healthiest way to mix all of the food groups. As such, both Jewish and non-Jewish individuals can benefit from kosher food. Even more, these Atlanta restaurants prove that, beyond the moral and health benefits, the food can be delicious as well.

Ou for U 1155 Hammond Drive Suite C2 Atlanta, GA  30328 (770) 396-5533

Hours: Sun to Thu – 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Fri – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Ou for You is a kosher dairy restaurant that serves mostly Mediterranean-based dishes emphasizing sandwiches, salads, and falafels. The prices here are super affordable, especially given how tasty and inventive some of the items are. The portobello sandwich is contains corn meal crusted portobello mushrooms served on focaccia bread and topped with homemade poblano aioli.  The Tunisian salad contains many of the items you might find in a croquette like tuna, boiled potatoes, hard boiled eggs, and lemon parsley vinaigrette.  The platters are the most classically Middle Eastern dishes such as Shakshuka (tomato stew with sunny side up eggs), Malawach (fried dough with a hardboiled egg and tomato sauce), and Bourekas (baked puff pastry filled with cheese, potato, mushrooms, or spinach).
