Best Places To Volunteer in Atlanta with Your Kids

It’s a brand new year and the perfect time to find a worthy organization that is looking for new volunteers. For 2012, spread the love and involve your children too. Below are five great places to volunteer with your kids in Atlanta. Be advised that all require a parent to accompany children ages 16 and younger.

This nonprofit volunteer-based organization has saved the lives of 2,400 animals in the last two years. Angels Among Us rescues cats and dogs from high-kill shelters, places them in foster homes, and then matches them with new loving owners. Families can help out by fostering animals or organizing fundraisers. In 2011, a local Brownie troop collected coats, leashes and toys for every animal at Angels Among Us.
