“Democracy Shouldn’t Be This Hard.” Calls For Immediate Action By Georgia Secretary Of State Brian Kemp.

November 7, 2014 4:51 PM " Following reports of barriers to voting in Georgia on Election Day, Secretary of State Brian Kemp is being urged to immediately take action in investigating the accusations.

By the end of the day, November 4, 2014, the secretary of state’s website had gone down for several hours, and there were allegations of voters being charged for parking in order to vote at the polling location on the campus of Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

After the secretary of state’s website went down on the morning of Election Day, Brian Hanick with Better Georgia told me, “The people of Georgia deserve to know where to vote on Election Day.” Hanick said that Kemp had failed Georgia. ” He lost the benefit of the doubt with his mishandling of as-many-as 50,000 new voter registration forms that have just gone missing mysteriously”, said Hanick. The registrations were through the New Georgia Project, which along with the NAACP sued Kemp in an effort to force him to process the applications "
