Chick-fil-A Reveals Gluten-Free Chicken Nuggets In Kid’s Meals
" ATLANTA (CBS Atlanta) – Chick-fil-A has jumped onboard the nutritious kid’s meal bandwagon.

The popular fast food restaurant announced Monday that it will start serving gluten-free grilled nuggets in its kid’s meals beginning today, the first time a fast food chain has offered a grilled entrée as part of a children’s menu.

The new meals only contain 210 calories and three grams of fat, which reflects a 56 percent decrease in caloric intake and an 86 percent decrease in the grams of fat in the meal.

The move comes after a recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report showed that approximately 17 percent of children in the United States, or 12.5 million, are obese.

“According to reports from the Centers for Disease Control, Americans frequently choose convenience over nutrition,” Woody Faulk, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of strategy and brand design, said in a press release. “This has created a greater likelihood of our children becoming overweight or obese.”

Chick-fil-A will also serve gluten-free fruit pouches, 1 percent milk and 100 percent apple juice in its kid’s meals. "
