An “Architect of Atlanta” Dies At 83
" Atlanta has lost one of it’s founding fathers. Those words from Congressman John Lewis were used to describe the death of Herman Russell known as the architect for much of Atlanta. Mr. Russell died peacefully on Saturday, November 15. He was 83 years of age. This statement on Mr. Russell’s death was released by the family:

“Herman J. Russell, 83, founder and chairman of H. J. Russell & Company, died Saturday after a brief illness, his family confirmed.  “He made his transition in a peaceful way.  We know he’s at rest,” said Michael Russell, CEO of H. J. Russell & Company "
